I heard Detroit lobbied against gas taxes as well so they wouldn't have to have more fuel efficient cars. Instead of figuring out how to make smaller, fuel efficient cars profitable, they took the low hanging SUV and truck fruit. Bush's minions are now scurrying like crazy trying to add in new regulations that allow for more polluting by big businesses. They are making them difficult for Obama to get rid of in the future. Bush is true to his original idea of enriching his BASE at the expense of the country. The last single-finger salute to the USA by the Worst President in History. That, and a flurry of pardons.
