Re bush, I would say taking us into a major war by fabricating evidence and lying, certainly counts as a major crime. Who would debate that it isn't?

And, if you think about it, the chain gangs in the south, for almost a hunderd years (until WWII) that illegally imprisoned, tortured and killed blacks was certainly as bad as anything Hitler did. And there is not even a tiny bit of hyperbole there for anyone who knows the history.

Do we just forget all of this? We should at least bring this stuff up to show the validity of affirmative action programs.

What we are not doing is putting things in perspective e.g.:

We impeach one president (Nixon) for authorizing a break in. We impeach another for sex.

But taking a nation to war by fabricating evidence and lying and that is a lesser crime?

If that makes sense to anyone, I sure wish they would explain it to me.
