I think we'd be better off if we allowed nature take its course. Companies that go bankrupt - should be allowed to do so. Their bond and shareholders will lose their investments - which which is what we'd expect, in an honest market, to happen, when a co goes under. Better managed competitors would buy whatever is worth buying for pennies on the dollar, and life goes on.

But politicians won't have it. They want to stick their hands into everything.
