Hey Chi what happened to long very long IDT .....?
Re:
techstocks.com

My 2 cents on IDT's fizzle:(in no order of importance)
1. Fear of Intel Lawsuit
2. Fear of Intel's slot 1 / PII technology
3. Fear of an AMD like failure...AMD has yet to make money
off the K6.
4. Lack of IDT PR ...Self Promotion no AMD here
5. Lack of Customer list for the C6
6. Warning of little profit or no for next quarter
7. Warning that the C6 will not impact bottom line next quarter
8. Risk of Hillsboro not ramping up smoothly on time
9. Continued weakness in SRAM demand/prices also with the
PII not using external L2 cache and IDT stepping aside.
10.Competition from the cypress version of ZBT memory
11.Competition from other MMX chips the C6 is not all that
speedy.
12.Competition from QED for the MIPS embedded microprocessor
market.

So have I bailed on IDT? NOOOOOOOO.
I just wanted to share my concerns with the other
posters/readers of this thread.
And as always would like to hear why all these concerns are bs.
