I had a long conversation with my brother while I had him and my dad over to my home for Thanksgiving. He is even more worried about climate change than I am. His background is in physics and especially biology. He thinks we have already tipped over the balance point. My dad really likes the state of the current art in converting solar energy to electricity and strongly believes we should switch to it now and address balance of payment problems. He retired as "chief scientist" of the Boeing company in 1976.
