I think that you should have faith in your fellow SI community members to figure out that when someone drags something on when another person isn't responding, that we can figure out that the other person has taken the high road and has put the person on ignore. If SI were to emblazon messages with big red flags and flashing alarms that a person is on ignore, it just turns SI into an elementary school playground where the person who used the ignore feature is saying "neener neener neener, I have you on ignore". Besides, I have 322 peoplemarks and if they start emblazoning messages with the "this person is ignored by the other", I would be driven away. Now look at the pickle you have put SI in by pitting peoplemarks against peoplemarks. Quite the dilemma.

Now if your goal is to have people read LESS forums here, then driving them away from forums they might enjoy because of a few trolls is a good tactic. The people you are quite likely referring to are the Brinker sycophants & antagonists who have been engaged in a multi-site, multi-alias circ... er, pissing match for untold years. NOBODY other than those handful of people gives a spit about their obsessions with Brinker and/or each other, and only they are aware of or care about their self-touting posts promoting their own alleged records, sites, blogs, history, etcetera, etcetera, ad nauseam. There is one "troll" who keeps rehashing the same crap over and over. There's more than one, Kirk. Now if your goal is to have people read LESS forums here, then driving them away from forums they might enjoy because of a few trolls is a good tactic. If the aforementioned Brinker loveorhatefest departed, nobody else would notice or care. That said, if it spills outside the boards where that noise belongs, you can PM me and I'll be glad to kick it back under the rock from whence it crawled.
