Today is a real test of this market. With job numbers crashing this morning, market will sort of test lows again. I think these employment numbers guaranttee a new round of fiscal stimulus along with fed action. Mortgage rates will be forced down into the low to mid 4s first for new purchases but inevitably for refis. Banks will end up negotiating principle as well. A floor will be in on housing. Consumer repair and employemnt will take longer but the stimulus fix is/will be in. If the market can rally off lows today, it would be meaningful. Markets have been behaving better but today sets itself up for a huge loss because of news unless news has been discounted. Get ready for a bumpy ride.
