I don't know how the markets will react. The futures did not go down as much as I expected. Could be that the worst has been written into the markets. European markets plunged on the news but have recovered quite a bit. Of course, they may go down again once our markets open. I certainly think we will do a retest of the recent lows. What worries me most is that the markets will languish at low levels for months into the future, going neither up nor down.

One thing that is going to soften the blow of the recession are the crashing oil prices. That's a stimulus that is already in place.
