Totally agree. Labor was a monopoly with three targets. Labor would strike one and allow the others to operate. The settlement meant little as the first to fold simply set the pattern for the others. Hence - they are all in the same boat. Once saddled with onerous labor costs the only way to make money was with the bigger cars where the imports were weak. In later years the UAW got even smarter - they would simply strike strategic plants. Yup - monopolies are bad - for labor or capital. The mess they are in is well earned.
