The U.S. Energy Information Administration is expected to report that 84
billion cubic feet
of gas were withdrawn from storage during the week ended
Dec. 5, according to the average prediction of 15 analysts and traders in a Dow
Jones Newswires survey. The storage estimate is smaller than last year's 129
bcf pull from storage and the five-year average withdrawal of 108 bcf.

Inventories probably dropped 85 billion cubic feet, based on the median of 11 analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg. The five-year average drop for the week is 108 billion.

GULF PRODUCTION MONITOR: December 10, 2008 Gulf production remained flat from yesterday at around 9.95 Bcf/d. Weather delays continue to impact the timeline for the completion of repairs to the HIOS 42 inch mainline which was damaged during hurricane Ike. HIOS now expects repairs to be completed around the third week of Jan.Producers can continue to deliver to Stingray but may experience high line pressures. Based on the recent delay to repairs on Sea Robin and HIOS, Gulf production is now expected to only reach 10.5 Bcf/d by the end of the year based on additional supply from Sea Robin J Leg, Discovery, and Tenn Blue Water East.
