I have eaten a lb of walnuts most every week for the last 3-4 years. My weight has fallen a lot over that time period. I believe the walnuts took the place of a lot of bad/junk foods I was eating.

Gained two pounds on a pound of Walnuts? What miracle are you planning next? :>)

3500 calories, equals one pound of body fat, on average. A pound of walnuts yields 3000 calories. Therefore one could expect to gain a pound if one were average, which I am not.

I couldn't eat a pound of them in a month.

"The only nuts I enjoy raw and unsalted are WALNUTS. Put a HANDFUL in my oatmeal every morning."

A handful of walnuts is about an ounce. An ounce a day (seven walnuts) for a month is two pounds.
