Yes, the trough is rather flat, but there are two things to remember. Well, at least two, but here are the two relative to this subject.
There are still 30 days to go... so the entire landscape may change.
Even if the price pulls toward 45, a close 'near' 45 still makes the Nov45 calls worthless.

But the point of the news article was that based on yesterday/today, and the 'normal' interrelationship of the stock price and the 'point of most pain' indicates that buying Nov45 Calls is very risky business.

But, withthe Hong Kong meltdown underway, this all may be moot.....

Thanks for the FWIW, I had misspelled the filename of the gif..
It was 2AM when I was writing it..... :-o
