I am not only keeping my 6000IU dosage, I am upping it to 8000IU. I suggest all here do the same. Buy the Carlson 2000IU bottles with 360 softgels. Just "Froogle" them for the best price.

If you want to up your dosage to 8000IU, you may want to switch to the 4000IU Carlson capsules I mentioned earlier.

You can see why I am so excited about vitamin D. It has filled a huge "hole" that remained unfilled for the first few years.

I don't know yet what effect the vitamin D has had on my arteries, but I have huge calcified knots in my muscles (one in my hip was about golf ball sized and several others were marble sized) that are shrinking dramatically (diameter cut in half) since I started the vitamin D a couple of months ago. This is after having spent 7 years working on them with trigger point massage and stretching and getting some reduction but VERY SLOWLY. I'm guessing the vitamin D is helping my body reabsorb the calcium.

I'm hoping it has a similar effect on the calcium in my arteries . . .

PS I do have a massage/PT person who can testify to this - I don't think it's just my imagination. I'm feeling so much better I'm even beginning to wonder if my fibromyalgia was really just low thyroid and vitamin D deficiency.

I never pictured you this way. Uncle Frank posted his picture and I was surprised by it too. We get these images of what people look like from the way they write and express themselves, at least I do... but it's always better to have the real thing.

I can see you are losing weight. Don't get too thin.

Another comment on the TYP site about my linked "It's the Vitamin D" post. These are all anecdotal, and some reports won't be due to Vitamin D. But keeping your family at 80+ blood level on it can't hurt, and could help a lot of things. You can buy the gel-caps on line, in volume, for under 4 cents apiece in 2000IU capsules. A daily dose of 3 to 4 of them is safe, and costs only 12 to 16 cents a day.

"My daughter, age 12, had pneumonia for the first time when she was 5 months old. Since then she's had it so many times I've lost count, at a minimum once every winter and spring, and 3 times during one especially bad year. Every time she got a cold it was always a huge effort to keep pneumonia from developing.

A year and a half ago I started giving her D3 according to the guidelines I found on the Vitamin D council website. She hasn't had pneumonia a single time since then, which to me is like a miracle. I had her D3 level tested last month and it's at 80."
