Because climate models are complex and the real climate even more complex, they are imo a poor basis for establishing real policies that affect real people on.

Re. medicine, we don't just model how bew drugs will work. We perform controlled tests of them on animals and then humans. Too bad we can't test climate models.

Well, actually we can test them a little, but seeing how good past predictions of the models have turned out so far.
