Jobs bank gone; UAW must agree to bring labor costs in line with other automakers, pensions slashed.

Of course, Obama can undo the requirements later on if he wants to, but at least he is being handed a reasonable situation.

The republicans in the senate look pretty stupid now...they've managed to lose control of the situation, since this loan is not legislated at all and the new administration can modify it without their approval.
