Well, now I can breathe again after holding my breath for two weeks. I certainly thought GeneGuru had it locked up. My winning this year’s contest should, if nothing else, be an inspiration to all who have, or have ever thought about, entering this contest (if that @#&#$$@ can win it, so can I). My sympathies go out to those of you, like myself, whose real-world portfolios have plummeted. May next year right that wrong! I am humbled to be counted with the list of past winners listed below:

2000****Miljenko Zuanic****174%
2001****Muse****41%
2002****Julius Wong and Rick Harmon (co-winners)****minus 25%
2003****Tuck****224%
2004****Biotech Jim****90%
2005****Rick Harmon****65%
2006****rkrw***********71.9%
2007****Technetium*********13.58%

My designated charity, for those of you still able to donate, is the Red Cross of Lee County, Alabama. They have a website, which I’ve listed below, which allows online donations. Please select the first bullet, LEE COUNTY ALABAMA GENERAL FUND. Their mail address is also listed on that page.

Lastly, I wish especially to thank Mike McFarland for starting this contest back in 2000, Michael Murphy for continuing to post each year’s thread, and Bulba Man for his unfailing devotion to keeping our results up-to-date.

May each of you have a Merry Christmas (or Happy Holidays, as you prefer) and Happy New Year.

Kind regards,

Bob

I would be curious to see the whole list (typed hole by mistake the first time and it probably makes more sense!).

Oh, my!

Hadn't looked at the thread in a few weeks.

I have one thing to say......

Nice guys finish first.

I have met a ton of great people at S.I., but I believe that many here know that Bob is just flat-out an Angel.

Marty, one class act... again.

Merry Christmas, all!

Rick
