In the last 3 1/2 years lots in my neighborhood went up more than 300%. From BRL94/m2. Today one is for sale for BRL361,32/m2. This one here:

The hryvnia is expected to be on a continuous downwards trend and the local financial system is panicking... euro accounts have been locked, forced conversions are scheduled etc.

But I agree that Ukraine seems to have a good future in the long term. However, because of the communist heritage, it may take 30-60 years. For instance, if you ask a Ukrainian about role models, like "mention a self-made Ukrainian businessman that you respect", they have no answers. All the top politicians or businesspeople have gotten rich by methods that are not business-like in the western sense.
