Ancor Adds Storage, Network Executives to Board

MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Ancor Communications, Inc.
(Nasdaq: ANCR) announced today that two respected executives from the computer
network and storage industries have joined the company's board of directors.
The new board members are Amyl Ahola, president and chief operating officer of
TeraStor and Paul Lidsky, president and chief executive officer of OneLink
Communications, Inc.
Ken Hendrickson, Ancor chairman and chief executive officer, said the
Ancor board now includes industry executives from selected market segments
that are also seen as key Fibre Channel growth areas. "Amyl Ahola has worked
in executive-level marketing, business development and operations areas for
leading storage companies including TeraStor and Seagate. And Paul Lidsky has
helped position OneLink as an innovative leader in the network services
market, in addition to leading Norstan, Inc.'s strategic expansion into the
network and systems integration marketplace," he said. "Both bring unique
insight, vision and relationships that we believe will be critical to shaping
our operations and strategic direction."
Ahola and Lidsky join former Cray Research, Inc. Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer John Carlson and Hendrickson, a former IBM, Western Digital
and Seagate executive, as new additions to the Ancor board. "Given the pace
of Fibre Channel market development, we wanted to build a board with the
expertise to quickly identify and act on opportunities and issues confronting
the company," he said. "Clearly, the board's depth of experience will be a
valuable resource to the company. My job is to shape the collective input of
this board into the strategic programs that can best move our company
forward."
