Peter, that's silly.

MOST of these lousy loans were made since 2000. The Republicans controlled everything during that time.

Bush was out there talking about "home ownership" for everyone.

NONE of this would have happened without those exotic derivatives and Freddie and Fannie didn't create those as far a I know.

The Democrats were pushing for opportunities for home ownership while the Republicans were pushing for "hands OFF" the financial industry (except for Freddie and Fannie, of course).
