You can try to deflect it, but democrats own 99% of the responsibility for half the problem.

MOST of these lousy loans were made since 2000. The Republicans controlled everything during that time.

Controlling government isn't controlling everything, and more to the point they didn't have very total control of government. The Democrats did have some power to block policy changes that they didn't like.

The Democrats were pushing for opportunities for home ownership

Which is part of the problem.
