This is a reasonably good example of what I have been saying about mind share. There are degrees of this mental block ... much of it unfavorable towards US makers...except for their trucks and large vehicles...to wit, the Ford F150 is still the best selling car in America.

It's not only a quality perception, it's also a 'coolness' perception.

Exactly.

And they're losing money every time they sell one because the labor costs are far too high.
