Anyone who likes music, check out:

pandora.com

My college-age daughter turned me onto this.

It's part of the Music Genome Project, which has assembled a huge database of music and sorts it based on various characteristics - tonal characteristics, etc. You create a free account, then select either an artist or particular song. It then plays similar music based on its database criteria. You can click whether you like the song or don't like it. Based on the input you give, it comes up with more selections.

The system is similar to Netflix, which recommends movies based on movies you have rented. I'm Very impressed.

I started with "John Mayer" and after an hour have not come across a song I did not like.

ps - I think Neeka will second this recommendation

In a small way, we are all a community and must care for someone other than ourselves and our families.
