If you can....try doing the most basic yoga poses in their proper sequence. I've found this to place back and leg muscles along with the sciatic nerve in proper alignment. Haven't had a back problem in years using this technique.

We have an 89 yo friend like the gentleman you mention....We call him Energizer BunnyBill.... Good for your friend...Spock would say "Live Long and Prosper"...and I sure hope he does!

I'm so sorry for your continuing pain, Naomi....know how that wears one down. Prayers for you and some relief, and sure do hope they will find the cause of your pain soon....

I go tomorrow to have the cortizone shot in the C5-C6 area of my spine....In one way, I just have to hope it will help, and that everything will be just fine, and on the other hand, I'm full of anxiety about the procedure. I'm just saying positive things though, and telling any bad thoughts to just scat out of here.....!

It is hard lesson to learn to stop doing when you are a mother and have been doing your whole life..Lifting heavy objects included.
