CNN a few minutes ago. American Arab leader blames Hamas for this round of violence. Says israel overreacts and civilian misery horrible but clearly went on to say that Hamas has gotten what it wants--civilian deaths to blacken israels eyes internationally. Also claimed hamas uses civilians as shields and deliberatley puts them in harms way. He called on unilateral hamas suspension of rockets attacks on israel, PA controlling Gaza border with egypt and arab states dealing with who will REPLACE hamas and run gaza. I have never heard an arab leader go so far in stating the essential truth and not pander to the weak minded like ted.
Israel cant go back into gaza to rule. Someone has to step up. Hopefully obama if not bush can eventually persuade egypt.
Mubarek should say, we are going in to protect the pals from israel by removing hamas who provoked this war and safeguarding pals from war. US and West should bankroll the egyptians and nations in the west and russia should be onboard with help and peacekeeping troops as necessary.
