Anything is possible, I suppose. But the Arabs have been using the Palestinians as pawns for a long time. It helps in stoking anti-Israel hatred. Which, in turn, keeps the poor in their countries from focusing on the real source of their poverty, their leaders.

I dunno. It all depends on what kind of prep. they have been doing and what kinds of weapons they have been given. Urban warfare is tough. You can do house to house, but it gets really dicey if the bulk of the population is not only cross with you, but is ready and willing to take the fight to you. Your only chance is if the average Abdul is going to stay indoors and just try to get through things alive. The Merkava tanks would be the IDF's main tool. Its ability to carry infantry inside and protected is key to their survival. But if they can be compromised...
