[[ My statement stands despite your misdirection. ]]

Speaking of misdirection, your full and complete statement on the NAFTA issue is as follows...

A US refusal to buy oilsands crude would breach bilateral committments in NAFTA.

That is a false statement. US companies don't have to buy ANY oilsands crude. Or they can buy ONLY oilsands crude. They can buy any Canadian crude they want, or none.

Even YOU contradict yourself in your next note... "If the US refuses to buy oilsands crude, that is their decision...."

NAFTA simply means that Canadian oil companies cannot refuse to sell to the US.

Again, as I referenced.... The only condition that NAFTA imposes on Canadian energy products is that all buyers in North America must have equal rights to buy those products.

And that's my last post on the subject. Find somebody else for your pissing match.

The federal government could also promote the oilsands by underwriting pipeline construction, and I think they should.

move up here and I'll help you start the real common sense party :O)

I believe NAFTA though only in essence says that Canada cannot limit what the US wants to buy (or competes to buy) ie.. We cannot hoard our oil to the US's detriment

EDIT: Maybe we can talk about softwood lumber LOL
