Oh, nummy! I'm coming to dinner! Did you lose power last night? We did, about 10p and crews were out fixing the transformer across the street about 5 or 6 this morning...You couldn't pay me enough to get out on icy roads, get into one of those buckets on a tall 'stick-pole' and fix wires in the dark!

Scared the doggies to bits when the power all over the house went dark!

Also, made another yummy thing last night.... Made it up as I went...

KLP's Ground Round Soup....
This is Very Hardy, and thick soup/stew, and will serve 8-12 people easily...otherwise freeze leftovers for later.

--Lean ground beef - 1 or 1 1/2 pounds - brown in large pan, season with lemon pepper and 1 t sea salt. Add Borvil if you have some. Add W-Sauce. I also put in about 2 tsp dried basil. Would be even better with fresh basil.

Chop and add these veggies:
--1 onion, 5-6 carrots, 1/2 bunch celery
Add:
--About 1/2 to 3/4 cup of rice medly mix (4 types of rice I get at Costco)
--2 cups of lentils
-10 cups of water. Simmer for about 3/4 hour.
I served this with fresh sliced Italian bread....French or any other sturdy bread would work too...
