Yes ElM, NZers do get killed while traveling, such as by Peter Blake being shot in the back by Brazilian pirates boarding the boat in the Amazon], by Al Qaeda hijacking Allen Beaven's airliner and crashing it when he fought back and got into the cockpit and stopped them going to Washington to kill a lot more people, by Islamic Jihad kidnapping and decapitating Stan Shaw when he was installing cellphone poles in Chechnya, by IRA bombing a family of New Zealanders among others at the White Tower in London [a tourist destination], by all sorts.

NZers are inveterate travelers and usually when there is a large event such as a bombing in Bali, there is a NZer involved. They also meet individual demise by criminals, thugs, robbers, ideologues and the generally rabid around the world. Even back in NZ, it's dangerous these days because of the welfare production system of criminals and the decades of lack of consequence for crime as well as the Maori violent chip on shoulder approach to life.

It's peaceful in the gentle BBR stream and less tendentiously anti-American than in the Amazonian shoot-in-the-back Brazilian Booster Base drunk on the glories of ethanol.

It's interesting but understandable that you find murdered NZers amusing.
