hello pezz, today's report:

(i) worked on a new geewhizbangohwhoawee schema for orthodontics sector of the dental field

(ii) reflected on the convolution that ought to be 2009 and the dangers that await all of us

(iii) got notified on this platinum trade Message 25288029 and confirmed platinum goodness at (spot price december 30/31) usd 919/oz plus allocated (i shared the cost of shipping with friend who ordered same number of bars, but a salad of platinum and gold) physical shipping cost of 4.25/oz

this trade is at considerable premium to earlier trade at 790 + 14/oz shipping.

but, platinum is now at usd 985/oz spot, awaiting either stockpiling by sovereign funds out of ideas for paper money allocation in a dire deflationary death spiral of the real economy where all assets revert to intrinsic value, or inflationary economic recovery based fiat money inflation.

mean time, i am reminded that we must not think of platinum as a mere precious metal, but, and get it right hence forth, a precious strategic metal :0)

<<Platinum or gold - which will be the better performer in 2009?

The platinum's price's brief dip to a discount to gold between the 12th and 17th December, for the first time since December 1996, did not last long and a premium has rapidly been re-established, reaching $130 just three weeks later. This is small beer by comparison with the $1,288 chasm that was reached on 3rd March 2008. Is there further to go or will gold keep tabs on its white competitor?>>

cheers, tj

Let's pave Wyoming! "Now the government wants to let developers pave forest roads."
Get the enviroweirdoes out of the way and let's build roads! Economy will not go in dumper!

The Washington Post last week reported that the administration plans to issue yet another "midnight" ruling. This one would let timber companies pave over national forest logging roads so pine tree woods can become residential subdivisions with names like "Pine Woods."

hello pezz, follow-on report:

srs short commercial real estate

- in the tradition of this brilliant 2008 trade Message 25114218

- in vengence for this botched exercise Message 25226528 / Message 25228005 / Message 25239229

- enhancing this earlier trade Message 25266654 short january srs put strike 60 (pre-special-dividend) and

- adding to this last night trade Message 25311210 (long srs)

i just got confirmation that SRS April 50 puts were shorted for me at 12.3/shr

i strongly believe in investing in american commercial real estate.

cheers, tj

p.s. given that the roundtable Message 25311012 is pervasively - generally bullish, i feel comfortable to short, short more, and keep shorting for 2009, by and by, awful days after terrible nights, until such time when the investoriates's eye balls pop out from crying, crying is of the silent sort, the sorrow seem genuine, regret appear sincere.
