Marcos:
I miss your part of the world. Went to college in Bellingham.
Let's see, I can buy a house for $100,000 that will rent for $1000 a month, that has to appreciate to 110,000 in a year with some cosmetic repair to get my money back. (1982 stock price or 1997 house price)
OR
I can buy a house for $100,000 that rents for $130 a month and has to go up to $125,000 to get my money back. (s&p)
OR
I can buy a house for $100,000 that gives me no income and it has to be worth $150,000 next year or I won't get my money back.(Nas 100)
Hmmmm, boy, this is tough.
