Hi friend. Same 'ole same 'ole heating up again and again and again and again. Somebody is cruisin 'fer another bruisin.
Hear how about the Calvinists and the Armenians singing the song "Ye must be born again..?"
The Calvinists sang it: "Ye must be born again, ye must be born again, verily verily I say unto you, ye must be born again.
The Armenians sang it: "Ye must be born again and again and again, ye must be born again and again and again, verily verily I say unto you, ye must be born again and again and again.
We have some "Againers" on this thread that keep playing the same tune again and again and again---I guess I've aready said that again and again and again.
Back to theistic evolution- I wrote on this thread that I took my daughter to a Christian College---she had scrimped and saved and gone the first two years to a Community College and lived at home---so she was excited to attend this school.
We took her nearly a thousand miles from home and the first evening was a student and faculty "get acquainted" time. Our daughter was introduced to one of the science teachers---and she picked up on that and said in a rather animated way: "O, that is exciting, I plan on taking a creation class while here." The teacher's answer brought tears to her eyes and within two minutes she said: "Dad, I want to go outside." So we went outside and found a bench to sit on, under the moon. She said: "Dad, I want to go back home with you. I put up with evolutionary teaching all through school and I didn't come back here to this expensive school to hear some more of the same junk."
What had the teacher said to her animated comment? He said: "O, we don't teach creation here, we believe in Theistic Evolution."
Ouch.
I was just posing the question, my friend---I wasn't meaning to imply that I took that route. In fact, I just watched a Christian creationist on tv and he made some rather significant points.
So---perhaps we are in different "camps" on this.
Oh, yes---we encouraged our daughter to sleep on it and pray about it and give us her answer the next morning.
She slept.
She prayed.
She stayed.
BUT, she is still a creationist through and through and is and has been teaching that to her family---that was a number of years ago. Her husband is a teacher in a public school in Jr. High Science---and he really has to watch himself on how he handles the subject of evolution.
Have a super sensational day.
