Yeah, if they're so great, how come APPL has never held more than 10% of the PC market since the IBM PC came out? Businesses don't like to get locked in to sole source suppliers for critical needs. Developers don't want to write software for just 10% of the market. Peripheral makers don't want a potential 10% or less slice either.

Now, they've got people paying $2,000 for notebook computers when everyone else is selling them for $499.

Apple never really made big inroads in the consumer space. For a very long time IBM was able to charge a nice premium for its Thinkpads...but not in the consumer space.
