Following up on my thesis that banks are stupid....did you hear that BAC is saying that it needs more TARP money. This is after it took its first share of TARP, which at the times, it claimed it didn't need, and invested it in China. Now its saying it needs more TARP money to complete the Merrill Lynch deal. Stupid assholes!

It's current market cap is less than the funds it got from the government.

My god. You don't understand the basics. I thought you were once a broker or a trader or something.

Do you not understand there is no relationship between market cap (an external valuation of the company) and an injection of cash by the government or anyone else?

Duh.
