SB,

Sure, that kind of thing is going to always happen. Unless there is a revolt and Americans really send someone to the top from the grass roots.

You are correct, in that lying is a job requirement.

My only interest in politics is to keep an eye on which way <they> are headed so I can step left or right. Matters not to me which way, as long as it is out of their way.

TH, don't forget that obama went out and got a raytheon lobbyist to be number 2 in the defense department... after proclaiming lobbyists would not be allowed in his administration.

This is horsesh*t. He said lobbyists would not fund his campaign like they have campaigns in the past and therefore would not control his administration. He never said he would not employ a lobbyist.

i have a theory that is supported by much evidence...

one *must* be a pathological liar to win the presidency b/c the they are the only one's capable of telling all the lies the people of this nation want to hear and come off as believable.

You know.....its interesting how some are already trying to make Obama wrong before he's even in office. Are you a Bush supporter? Is that the problem?

On this front I completely agree that Obama is yet another politician who will say whatever will make history for him, and will dance for whoever paid to elevate him from obscurity to national prominence in no time. It is nature of the job that requires such a skill and lot of people "hoping for change" will be disappointed at the end of 4 years. We already see what kind of changes he brought (Clinton, NY Fed Chair). Blame should also be apportioned on ever so gullible sheeple who are easily blinded by party labels.

while obama says many things i like, *doing* is much different and i can not tell when he's lying. well, not all the time. i knew he was lying when he proclaimed we would "pay as we go" while going over all his new spending plans.

now i know he lied about not appointing lobbyists to his administration.
