This coming from the same guy who loves the fact that we subsidize oil so heavily.

If we were subsidizing DOMESTIC oil and natural gas production to the level that you advocate for wind and solar, it's likely we wouldn't need to import any fossil fuels.

Can you imagine a 30% tax credit for oil exploration in the US?

There would be drills popping up right and left. We'd certainly have enough domestic capacity to last us until we actually create a PHEV technology that possesses both longevity and affordability.

In the meantime, Exxon paid out 49% of it's income in taxes to the Feds. How much will the windmill companies pay with their 30% tax credit?
