My business partner was a brit and in the UK today and he said despair is in the air about the future. One of my German friends works for a large developer in London, Candy and Candy. They still have work....few layoffs. Things are not good but its not the end of the world. Mostly what we have is a ton of fear. As for the markets, they are reeling from a double whammy......bad earnings from RBS and STT as well as the ultra short ETF, SKF, which is having a field day......taking banks down lower than they normally would go. Banks make up 20% of the DOW so their impact is being felt.
