That's an interesting similarity to me and my brother; each of us would die for the other but we do not talk politics.

I cannot discuss politics with my sister either. I think liberals are very sensitive and don't like confrontation, so I will stop.

Any sister of yours cannot be bad.

She has some of the same thoughts as a couple of my sisters...We don't talk about politics either. They know I research and can find ample back up....but they want to have their "Opinions" even if there is no back up for them.... or even any rationale...

My siblings are all moderates with a conservative leaning. I believe they are all to my left politically. We are fairly tightly grouped but my sister is the furthest left.

We can discuss politics, but at times agree to disagree. The only people in my family I cannot talk politics with are her oldest and my niece's husband. Even her siblings and her sister who lived with her until shortly before the marriage thinks they are off base.

She is a darling person and I will continue to not provoke conflict.

That being said, she knows that her politics don't gel with her family and she and her husband avoid the subject too. I believe they fit well political with his family.

The question everyone is wondering about is simply: Do we have to change our posting habits to accommodate her presence here?
