I never got around to asking for a coupon. What is not clear to me is whether their calculations are based on the number of coupons issued or the number actually used. I have noticed that the prices of the boxes two years ago, when the program first started, were much lower than during the last six months. I figure that if you're on a service and only need one the prices will drop substantially a couple of months after we go digital. It might be that the subsidy actually raised prices.

I ordered my coupons on the second day the program started. I received them about 8 weeks later just as the program stated I would. If you waided to the last minute to order your coupons, then you have nobody to blame but yourself.

The only problem I found was that the boxes were in short supply, especially at retail locations in the inner city where most iof the "over the air" "free tv watchers" live. Most of the rest of the country has satelite or cable and will not need the boxes.

I have a large collection of antique television sets, and I use the boxes to supply signals to these old collectables.
