>> Quebec Tel did specifically announce WSTL <<

I never heard of this contract until Westell mentioned it on:

August 28, 1997 -- Westell (NASDAQ: WSTL) announced today that QuebecTel is introducing high-speed Internet connection service, brandnamed ALEXIS by its ISP (Internet Service Provider) subsidiary Globetrotter, to serve the area of Quebec, Canada. No information was given on how many ADSL lines will be deployed and when or what the service may cost. TeleChoice will post that information as it becomes available....

telechoice.com

Can someone produce a URL from QuebecTel before August 28th? I've surfed the QuebecTel and Globetrotter sites and couldn't find this release... until later.

PS. Does anyone remember where the rumor started about Westell gear being used at NBTel?

Richard, Pat... what is the significance of Nov 18th?

>>> Pat Mudge asked GS an excellent question re GTE announcement. She asked if he thought GTE might announce something about WSTL on Nov 18th.<<<<

Additional financing... hmmm... I would think that additional financing would be contingent on an ironclad order from a major telco.

>>>The need to acquire additional financing in the future in order to put them in the best possible position to take full advantage for deployment...<<<

>>>>GS did say that two of the three contract announcements are currently being written...<<<<

Huh? Yeah. Right. Well, I hope so. Say, how long does it take to write a press release?
