Thanks for posting that Derek. I've been running a question though my mind over and over the last couple of days, but haven't said anything because I thought it would pop up on the thread. So as usual I probably have thing screwed up, SO now I'm going to ask.

As I recall Windows was a program and DOS was the OS until Win.95 isn't that correct? And if it is correct, why didn't anyone raise a stink 1995 when this occurred?

When I upgraded to Win/95 I was forced to stop using software I really liked. To name a couple Direct Access & Xtrees. They were a much easier to manage the PC and the hard drive with.

I don't like the strong arm tactics MSFT or the fact that MSFT is forcing the OEMs into something they don't want. But isn't making I.E. part of the OS the same thing as what was done with Windows?
