We'll see. I suspect there will be much less cronyism going forward, but very tough times lie ahead. My hope is that Obama has some really smart folks around him who know what they are doing. Suggestions of liquidation may be plain wrong, and the stimulus packages right. The country can be in complete ruin after "liquidations", with 30-40% unemployment. Given Greenspan's twin bubbles, and the derivative bubble. The idea is to navigate these waters and resolve the crisis the best and the speediest way possible, resulting in a lasting bubble - free recovery. Yes, the currency will have to be devalued.
