Look, you're very bright and I think you understand.

There will be no progress until the leverage, the unpayable debt and the derivative exposure are wrung out of the system. The sums which need to be processed are so large that any stimulus package is the equivalent of placing a band-aid on a hole created by a 45 cal. pistol shot.

The money is better spent on creating a social safety net - food, shelter, medical care, etc., - for those who will be affected.

Wringing out the excesses will have a horrific effect on the USD.

We need a re-set, but the re-set is painful. Moreover, there is a serious risk of mal-administration of any stimulus money similar to the mal-administration we saw under the previous Administration.

It might actually be best to issue direct grants to people who need the cash, tell them to pay off debt with it or simply issue grant money that can only be used to pay off debt.
