Your original complaint was that it didn't create jobs so it wasn't appropriate for a stimulus bill.

My complaint is FAR larger than that it just doesn't create jobs. It's an issue that has no place in a stimulus plan. Can you make an argument that putting more people into family planning clinics creates more jobs - of course, but so would putting more people into the post office to decrease lines. I certainly hope that we haven't gotten to the point that just putting people on the federal payroll is the single purpose of the stimulus package - if it is then I am against it.

I am in favor of infrastructure jobs that give Americans something to behold in return. You can see a bridge or a tunnel and everyone in America can agree we need these projects - same with broadband and energy independence and energy efficiencies.

Family planning though? About all it does is send people into their corners again to come out swinging.
