You are exactly right. Reactionaries look to the past for solutions. And yes Virginia there are liberal reactionaries as well as conservative ones. Progessives look to the future and try to craft something that will work and be fair. Conservatives did mostly a good job of that thru 9/11. 9/11 and Bush admin economic response (benigh stupidity) brought down the reagan house. Now its in rubble and new means necessary to move forward. But new means doesnt mean New Deal a la FDR or small town drug stores and shops espoused by some here. Eyes forward.

Unless someone's done a study on the wages of the drugstore business, I can't give you exact data. But it is easy to see that as industries have consolidated, income disparity has gone up.
