Hamas was given complete control of Gaza. What did they do with it? Before there were restrictions there was lack of recognition and rockets. Dont know why you are so blind. Hamas brought all this on gazans. Now you want israel to trust them? Yuh think hamas is not a terror organization? If so you are naive as hell.

There was no indication the soldiers committed atrocities or did anything else other than occupying the residence, which they needed for military purposes. When you're being fired on by Palestinians, you don't have to knock on their doors and beg permission to come in and use their house for a day or two. The thing you seem to forget is that the Palestinians have had innumerable opportunities to stop it and have instead chosen terrorism. All they have to do is stop misbehaving.

But what he missed is how Hamas feeds the settlers will by buying them time thru their violence in gaza to push israel to policies that would be akin to ethnic cleansing. What are they supposed to do? Accept the status quo and hope that Israel behaves honorably? They seem to have no history of that...did you see what soldiers were doing to that Palestinian family that lived among israelis? Did you see that woman settler? Arrogant...I am not sure how Obama can support this status. Do you know who started the settlements in the WB? Ariel Sharon. In the late 1980s, he was the director of Housing for Israel. And he did just what the women in the clip was saying......started building in the WB so that the Palestinians would never have their state. That was roughly ten years after he enabled the mass killing of Palestinians in Beirut. And some misguided Americans talk about the poor Israelis. Rubbish! This country has known all along what Israel is doing and has enabled them in varying degrees. It must stop.

"I am not sure how Obama can support this status. " Obama is a very smart guy, a very practical guy. I'd expect him to DEMAND the removal of all settlements, and at least negotiate over the land Israel has already walled off. I think a good compromise would be a corridor of Pal land connecting the West Bank to Gaza - which would give the WB coastal access. I'd expect him to push this HARD once he's elected to a second term, unless events accelerate it.
