No matter what we do, we're always going to piss someone off one way or another, even if it's over something that was done years or decades ago. No way to wipe the slate clean or "wash our hands" of anything without actively participating in bringing peace and prosperity to the rest of the world.

How many times have you heard someone get pissed off at a Canadian or a New Zealander?

bush messianism in FP reaction is isolationism. Pendelum always swings back and forth esp after failed attempts at either stupid solution. Realists in FP can disagree but at least they base policy or try to on national interest not on some weird protectionism/iso or america will save the worldism.
