Those remaining of the Depression and WWII generation, must all feel a good deal of sadness....they sacrificed a lot for us to have the way of life that we do, and must feel as if their sacrifice might have been in vain, as we seem to be tromping our way to a combo of Socialism and Fascism....

Sickening really.

There was a prison camp in the town where I grew up. I remember some remnants of it and some artifacts like old dried up boots we found on Boy Scout hikes. This was about ten yars after they closed.

Later I found the camp contained Italian and German seamen who were unlucky enough to be in our ports when war broke out. Many of them became US citizens afterward.
