marcher... here's one source... sacbee.com looks like many teachers make a lot more than $60k... here's another source that puts the average just below $60k... employmentspot.com 9 months of work, right? CA spends $11k per student x 25 students = $275k per classroom per 9 months. oh, and i don't dispute most of the education money doesn't go to teachers... they are all looting the taxpayer. LA unified has a 50% drop out rate for their $275k per classroom per year.
