<<<Ones does wonder if a nation w/o the productivity of the 20's can boot strap itself using ponzi schemes. Did I forget to mention monumental debt as well?>>>

It is so seductive to listen to them say "pouring money into the situation does not solve the problem".

They then go on and give example after example of waste in the public school systems.

They then go on a give example after example where individual effort and where private enterprise does a better job.

For some reason those advocating that position are very passionate, well coordinated, and provided talking points by "think tanks".

Even Joe the plumber, Sarah the governor, Rush the talk show host and countless foot soldiers can repeat and recite these talking points.

Why is it then the majority of people in the free, most educated, and most prosperous parts of the world are not buying these very simple and perhaps shallow arguments?

Interesting.

I not sure what you mean by "a nation w/o the productivity of the 20's". It would appear you mean that our productivity is about what it was in the 1920's, but its considerably greater than that.
