Exactly, IMHO. We could see a bottom in broader equities soon.

Beware of gold bull. If we get recovery, gold will get smacked
once again in 2009 before taking off to 3000. I will be
increasingly shifting my very long term portfolio toward stocks
as DOW/gold ratio sinks deeper and deeper into single digits.

A warning: for now, stock allocation will be LOW. -g-

There is near term risk in gold if recovery takes place.
I don't like shorting that much, it's almost always a risky
affair. Where we are now? Around 500 days duration and
more than average drawdown IF November lows are marginally
broken. If the levels (2002/2003/2008 lows) hold, we may have
a bull market in equities.
